Notice of email address on visa application form– 16 May, 2012
In the online visa application form, the applicant/agent is required to fill the applicant's email address in the specified field "Email Address" . The visa application form containing false/agent's email address instead of applicant's email address will not be accepted at India Visa Application Centre henceforth. This requirement is mandatory w.e.f 16 May, 2012 |

Basic requirement for letter from company/school/college/university/organization 3 January 2012
The Letter in Original should be printed on the official letterhead of company/school/college/university/organization bearing complete postal address and telephone/fax number and should incorporate at least the basic information such as the applicant's passport details, working/studying status i.e. designation/grade and course of study, name of signature of the authorized signatory signature and the seal/stamp of the company/organization etc."

Important Notice for Agents - 21 December. 2011
In the part of applicant contact details on the online visa application form, the applicant is required to fill the personal contact number on the online application form. The visa application form containing agent contact number instead of applicant contact number can not be accepted at India Visa Application Centre.

Important Notice for Visa Applicants
The India Visa Application Centre, on behalf of the Embassy of India - Beijing accepts visa applications directly from the applicants as well as through their representatives, including travel agents. It is hereby clarified that the Embassy attaches equal importance to all the applications and does not give any preference to those received through the travel agents.
Applicants who apply for any one type of Indian Visa can NOT apply for another type of Indian Visa while the application is still being processed. Applying for more than one type of visa at the same time by the same individual might result in refusal of visa.

Important Notice for Travelers to India
Foreign nationals entering India may please note that Thuraya Sat phone service is not permitted in India. Anyone using any telegraphic devices including Sat phone unauthorisedly violates Section 4 of Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and he/she can be penalized u/s 20 & 21 of the said Act. In case such satellite phones without license by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, are brought in their baggage/hand baggage, they would be detained/confiscated, as per the existing procedures, till the time the holder of the satellite phone is able to produce a license issued by the Department of Telecommunications.

Important Notice for Agents
To streamline visa procedure, the Indian embassy, Beijing, will be maintaining a data base of all the Companies/Agents submitting visa applications on behalf of applicants. The following information is required to be furnished by all travel agencies:

All details of the company having outbound rights. |
| 2. |
Name and contact details of the representative who would be liasioning. |
| 3. |
With the embassy and name and contact details of the owner of the company and manager whom the representative works for. (this would include the telephone and mobile numbers) |
| 4. |
Chinese business license in original and photocopy. The original will be returned after scrutiny. |
| 5. |
All details of the companies who have taken franchise under them. |
| 6. |
The companies who have taken franchise under a Chinese travel agency having outbound rights should provide the following documents/information: |

Copy of the agreement of franchise; |
| |
 |
Name, identity card, telephone number of one of the representatives; |
| |
 |
Contact details of their counterpart company in India. The Indian company's dot license and its certificate (in duplicate). |

Copy of agreement between Chinese company and Indian company. |
